Trinity Samaritans
The Trinity Samaritan ministry is made up of 35 teams of men, women and youth, from both the congregation and its school, who are dedicated to reaching out to persons who may be hurting in both the congregation and in the community.
Rev. Peter Zieg, Pastor Emeritus, and Rev. Fred More, retired pastor, head up the program which provides training and support to those who feel called to serve as Trinity Samaritans.
Please pray that this ministry become a powerful instrument of God’s love in our midst. Any questions may be directed to: Fred More or Peter Zieg .
Goal
The goal of the Samaritan Ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church and School is to provide a structure of responding to the spiritual, material and emotional needs of persons both in our congregation and in the community at large and to provide, through the resources of the congregation and community agencies, a way to meet those needs.
Trinity Samaritans recognize and affirm that all persons are created in the image of God, regardless of beliefs, background, race, lifestyle or life circumstances. Samaritans regard no one as inferior in any way.
Trinity Samaritans recognize and affirm that the ministry Christ calls his disciples to do includes reaching out in love to those who may be hurting, trusting that God will guide and strengthen them regarding how best to serve those persons. The primary “gifts” of Trinity Samaritans are, “patience, kindness and goodness.” (Galatians 5:22)
