Ministry Staff

Pastor Bob Schmalzle
Pastor Bob Schmalzle, Senior Pastor
Pastor Bob is less than two-years new at Triniy, although he has been a Lutheran pastor for more than thirty years. Most of Pastor Bob’s ministry has been with international congregations overseas to provide the families of foreign diplomats, the military, and those with multinational corporations with a church home away from home.
Pastor Bob is skilled in relating the faith to our everyday lives. He has even written several books about it. He is also a professional mental health counselor and has helped many families through tough times.
Pastor Bob’s wife, Denise, works for the Lutheran Church as a Parish Nurse. They have two grown sons, Aaron and Jacob, who both live in Orlando.

Susan More
Susan More, Business Administrator
Susan has been on staff at Trinity for 17 years. Susan joined Trinity when the need for a Business Administrator became apparent as the church and school were growing and with it the staff and budgets.
Susan says that the best thing about being on staff at Trinity is the people – staff, members, students, parents – and getting to do what you love every day.
Susan has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, with a major in accounting, and a Masters degree in accounting – both from University of Central Florida. She has been a CPA since 1984, licensed in Florida. She is a member of the AICPA and the FICPA.
She was on the staff at St. John Lutheran in Winter Park for five years as Director of Christian Education. She served briefly as an Assistant to the Bishop of the Florida Bahamas Synod. For ten years, Susan and her husband Fred owned and operated a restaurant in Kissimmee.
She has co-chaired the Local Arrangements Committee for two churchwide assemblies. Susan also served as the first treasurer of the Florida Bahamas Synod. Prior to that she served as President of Florida Lutheran Church Women and on the Synod Executive Board and the national management committee of the Division for Parish Services and the LAOS in Ministry committees.
About her faith, Susan says, “God always has such wonderful surprises for us. I have been so blessed to have been brought to Kissimmee and to Trinity Lutheran. What an amazing community of God’s people at work in this place. It is truly a joy and a blessing for our family to be a part of this wonderful church and school family.”

Vicki Miller
Vicki Miller, Parish Secretary
Vicki has been a member of Trinity since 1988 and have been involved in many aspects of the church as a volunteer. When the position of church secretary became available in November 2010, she knew this was the place she should be.
Vicki thinks that the best thing about being on staff at Trinity is the feeling she gets when coming to work each day and enjoying the job she has. She says, “the staff at both the school and church are wonderful. I have been blessed to get to know our church members and be a part of their lives. It also is a great joy to see and hear the sounds of the Trinity school children each day and to interact with them. Both of my children attended Trinity from PreK-4 to 8th grade so it holds a very special place in my heart.” For 30 years prior to working at Trinity, Vicki was in the hospitality industry working for the ride company at Old Town.

Harry Humphrey
Harry Humphrey, Organist
Harry has been a member of Trinity since 2006 while filling in as a temporary organist. He left for about 2 years to become the organist at Sherwood Forest Chapel. Missing Trinity, he came back and applied for the position as organist for which he was called in June 2009.
Harry thinks that the best thing about being part of staff at Trinity is that he has an active role in worship and praise of God each week.
In 1999 Harry was a Drug and Alcohol Counselor. In 2006 he received his Master’s in Social Work and was employed by the Center For Drug Free Living as an Adolescent Counselor. In May, 2011 he joined Florida Hospital Hospice as a Social Worker.
Harry experienced a special faith moment several years ago and realized that God wasn’t just a Sunday morning relationship. He found that his life blossomed when he brought God into his daily life. He tries to emulate St. Francis’ prayer – “Lord make me an instrument of your peace.”
